Sailing School
Porto degli Argonaut’s sailing school teaches its members how to enjoy going out to sea in complete
safety thanks to lessons in boats together with exhaustive theoretical instruction. Highly qualified
instructors from the Italian Sailing Federation hold the courses with the co-operation of Ocean Med
Sailing. The school’s spirit is that of transmitting sailing know-how from the outset in order to “feel”
the sailing boat. Some will become great helmsmen, some capable yachtsmen, but all will be very able
seamen.

Boating License course
The nautical school to obtain a boating license (sailing or motorboats) and the license to pilot a pleasure boat within 12 nautical miles of the coast or in open sea.
Regattas
The Sailing Club organizes sports events, fishing contests and regattas all year round.
Porto degli Argonauti proudly organizes and hosts the Ionian Sea Winter Championship –
Campionato Invernale del Mar Ionio – the most important sailing event that
takes place from October to April, with a Regatta during the last weekend of each month in the
waters around Porto degli Argonauti.
